    Ocean Place Resort & Spa is located in the seaside town of Long Branch, NJ located just a few miles off the Garden State Parkway with easy access to Newark Airport and New York City.  This newly and completely renovated hotel is in search of a new Resort General Manager.

    All 256 rooms offer newly renovated decor and comfortable beds, flat-screen TVs and free WiFi. Suites add separate living areas with sleeper sofas, plus mini-fridges and microwaves. Seaview Restaurant and Lounge offers breakfast, lunch and dinner favorites. The Terrace Restaurant and Tiki Bar offers outdoor dining in addition to draft beers and daily drink specials. There's also a fitness center, outdoor pool and indoor pool. Additional amenities include over 50,000 sq. ft. of renovated meeting space, a world class spa and a business center, plus a free local shuttle. This property is part of United Capital Corp./AFP Management’s lodging portfolio.


    The Resort General Manager functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to the property ownership. Ensures implementation of the upscale resort service strategy and initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations, increased profit and market share. Holds property leadership team accountable for strategy execution, and guides their individual professional development. The position ensures 3rd party sales engines are leveraged and initiates independent and proactive sales activities, when appropriate, to generate demand. Ensures the objectives and goals of Ocean Place Resort & Spa and AFP Management work together to achieve brand positioning and success. Builds owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results. The position is actively involved in the local community and builds strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers. Represents AFP Management and Ocean Place Resort & Spa brand values in all leadership actions.


    Four year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 8 years’ experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.




     2-year associates degree in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 10 years’ experience in the management operations, sales and marketing, finance and accounting, or related professional area.  


    • Resort General Manager Experience in an independent full service property or major lodging brand. 
    • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including weekends, holidays and late nights. 
    • Property industry work experience, demonstrating progressive career growth and a pattern of exceptional performance.
    • Must be a strong business leader capable of producing profitable results for associates, guests and ownership.
    • Understands what the business needs to improve and grow and drives that vision each day.
