  • Overview

    The Front Office Manager is responsible for the management of all aspects of the Front Desk functions, in accordance with hotel standards.

    The Front Office Manager provides operational assistance to the Director of Resort Operations to maintain a high quality of services offered to resort guests.

    Oversee guest services, bell services, and other seasonal services offered at the resort.  




    Essential Job Functions:

    • Supervise front desk staff,  including training and development, forecasting and scheduling.
    • Act as Guest Service Champion ensuring guest satisfaction and resolving matters with guest satisfaction in mind.
    • Ensures all guest contact is courteous, informative, and thorough.
    • Responsible for accurate check-in/check-out procedures.
    • Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
    • Maintains knowledge of all hotel services and local activities to respond to inquiries accurately.
    • Handles guest inquiries and special requests with promptness, following up as necessary. 
    • Partner with Housekeeping on a daily basis regarding room status. 
    • Works closely with other departments to ensure that all complimentary and high-end amenity offerings provided are consistent with the agreed upon arrangements.
    • Ensures the safety and security of hotel premises and property while acting as MOD. 
    • Oversees day-to-day activities of the guest services department.
    • Enforces all company policies and standard operating procedures.
    • Performs additional related duties as requested by a manager at any time.



    Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

    • Five years of prior hotel front desk experience in a full-service hotel or resort required.
    • At least two years previous supervisory experience required.
    • High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in hospitality field is preferred.
    • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office required. Knowledge of Opera PMS required.
    • Must be energetic and maintain a positive attitude.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
    • Ability to work well as a team.
    • Cash handling experience required.
    • Must be positive, energetic and a strong leader.
