    The Culinary department provides top dining and culinary experiences for our restaurant and banquet guests by preparing exceptional food that is consistent and memorable. The Culinary team’s main goal is to ensure that our guests will always enjoy a remarkable dining experience.

    Responsibilities

    Job Summary:

    The Receiving Clerk oversees operational activities within the storeroom and is responsible for the proper storage and distribution of all supplies for the Culinary department.

     

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Responsible for the purchasing, inventory, receiving, and distribution of food and beverage products and supplies.
    • Oversees hourly associates, enforcing all company policies and standard operating procedures.
    • Participates in scheduling and coordinating breaks for hourly associates.
    • Physically checks and verifies all products to ensure that the items listed on vendor invoices meet company guidelines for quality, count, and condition.
    • Receives, stores, and inventories food and beverage product and supplies.
    • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
    • Ensures proper food handling procedures are followed (wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature of products).
    • Ensures quality and appearance of food is in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
    • Maintains walk-in coolers and food storage areas on a daily basis.
    • Responsible for the organization, sanitation, and physical appearance of the storeroom at all times.
    • Documents materials and supplies shipped.

    Qualifications

    Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

    • At least 6 months previous receiving experience in a Food and Beverage environment required.
    • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
    • One to two years of previous experience in a similar position preferred.
    • Product knowledge within the Food and Beverage industry is strongly preferred.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff verbally and in written form.
    • Must possess basic math skills with an understanding of purchasing and distribution.
    • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.

     

    Physical Qualifications:

    • Requires the ability to bend, twist, and stand to perform normal job functions.
    • Ability to lift and carry objects weighing over 40 lbs regularly.
    • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
